Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Demonstrated ability to set up and operate production equipment

* Must have basic mathematical and recordkeeping skills

* Ability to follow and give verbal and written instructions, and to complete written reports

* Ability to perform work with consistent quality and dependable accuracy

* Ability to assist with administration of Elwood production departments

* Must have the interpersonal skills to work with and oversee the work of others

* Thorough knowledge of GMP, Safety, and Environmental processes

* Basic computer skills

* Fork truck certified

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Legibly makes and checks entries into batch records, log books, protocols and status tags according to SOP's

* Is capable of operating all equipment associated with one or more of the following production areas: Packaging; Liquids Filling;;
Solids Manufacture; Liquids Manufacture. And is operationally familiar with the rest

* Must stay current with GMP training and help assure that other technicians are current with their training

* Knows and assures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for all processes are followed and provide guidance and/or assistance as needed

* Performs and verifies that clean up after processes have been completed

* Performs and checks weights, measurements, counts, calculations and accurately records information on batch records

* Takes and delivers samples as directed in batch records, protocols and SOP's

* Ensures that he and other technicians follow safety rules and maintain proper safety practices at all times

* Assists the supervisor with the training of employees in the job duties

* Checks and reviews batch records for submission to Quality Assurance

* Drafts new and revises batch records and SOP's for submission for approval

* Performs other duties as assigned

* Assists supervisor with coordination of daily job tasks and technician assignment
