Manufacturing Technician II-TUCSON AZ

TUCSON AZ - Perform subassembly, disassembly, troubleshoot, repair & re-assembly of electromechanical generator units or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations repair of generator units. Actively participate as a member of the work cell team. Use calibrated equipment & machinery as part of assembly processes. Multiple shifts.
Team Player. Helps train entry level employees on standard assembly processes. Works to meet customer requirements. Network within cell & or product group to pass on learnings, techniques, & ideas. Volunteers to work fair share of overtime & helps coworkers with heavy workloads.
Understand material/parts flow process sufficiently to recognize potential problems & areas for process improvement. Understands work priorities. Read/comprehend written documents such as rework documents & perform the relevant manufacturing procedures. Match work procedures with Operating Systems Manuals. Maintain accurate documentation of rework, repairs & modifications. Familiar with communications with associated functions associated with processing the product. Adept use of one or more pieces of cell-specific equipment that involves high level of manual programming & or are used in manufacture/repair of complex unit. Utilize tools, machines that pose significant safety hazards. Diagnose & troubleshoot root cause of generator units; resolve problems with minimal loss of time & high level of independence. Sufficient product knowledge to discuss design issues with manufacturing engineers. Assemble non complex units new to production line. Process broad level of expertise on a cell's products or in-depth expertise on at least one product. May have to possess some test capability.
