Maintenance/Tooling Supervisor

High speed production facility. Aluminum Can Manufacturing Plant.

Responsible for:

Supervising the plant?s tool and die shop.  Resolves technical problems encountered related to area of responsibility.  Providing administration and supervision of the tool and die shop function.  Maintains adequate level of supplies, materials and parts in the tool and die shop to insure there are no interruptions in operations due to shortages.  Arranges for all equipment in area to be properly maintained and upgraded as needed.  Stays current in new technologies and applies them as applicable to the process.

 

Requirements: 

? Broad experience in technical field usually acquired through college level education or work related experience.

? Prior experience working with progressive dies.

? Five years of supervisory experience in a tool and die environment.

? Working Knowledge of: generally accepted supervisory practices and procedures; product specifications and technology of equipment; tight tolerances in the tenths; Infinity and Tabulator charts.

? Able to read and understand blueprints.

? Able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner.

? Ability to work under general supervision.

? Ability to negotiate with vendors for supplies, materials, services and parts.

? Ability to operate and functionally use a computer.

? Regular and predictable attendance ? ability to work days, nights, and weekends (24/7 operation).

 

 Travel:  position requires up to 5% travel.
