Market Manager

Job Functions: Position is responsible for the success of Pall?s positioning within the regional laboratory market. Encompasses implementing defined global strategic plans on a local level to bring Pall to a leadership position within the defined global laboratory market place. Requires a comprehensive understanding of the strategic and tactical aspects of Pall technology and products, including distribution, supply, manufacturing and regulatory affairs. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a local marketing plan, including defined market needs and implementation time-lines, to complement the global strategic plan while meeting corporate directives for revenue, profit and market-share. Works in collaboration with product managers, strategic market managers and other necessary support staff. Interacts with R&D, SLS, QA and Operations

Requirements: To qualify, candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in one of the life sciences or equivalent work experience. Advanced education is preferred.? Requires 3+ years of experience in biotechnology marketing,?with Key Account Management experience. Must possess a working knowledge of the laboratory, separations and purification market segments. Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze and evaluate market trend data through research of published, electronic, competitive or industry reports is required. Must be able to draw meaningful conclusions and make rational projections based on data gathered. Demonstrated ability to implement a business plan and to develop key relationships is essential. Knowledge of marketing strategies, including market segmentation, niche marketing, pricing, product penetration, market share analysis and competitive analysis is required. Additionally, position requires a strong understanding of product development, validation processes and marketing tactics used in new product launches. Prior management experience and the ability to foster a strong, team-focused environment are a must. Requires travel, as necessary (both domestically and internationally) to meet with customers or other company personnel.
