Master Mechanic

Duties
? Will work the shift of 2pm-10pm, but coverage on other shifts may be necessary occasionally because of vacations, etc. Some weekend work will be necessary as well.
? Ensure functionality and reliability of production equipment. Track and analyze maintenance costs. Monitor production systems reliability and capability. Ensure cost-effective maintenance spending which protects production capability and supports business cost goals.
? Perform general maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical system, heating and air conditioning, plumbing, etc.
? Repair and maintain manufacturing machinery and equipment within the facility such as motors, pumps, conveyor belts, controls, electrical equipment, air handlers, etc. Repair and maintain non-manufacturing equipment. Examine complex equipment to diagnose problems.
? Will include work on special assignments or projects, able to take a concept from design to execution with minimal supervision.
? Enter preventative maintenance and repair data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) currently MP2.
? Develop work instructions for preventative maintenance, repairs, calibrations, etc., and enter into the MP2 system. Develop work instructions for maintenance task and may assist others developing work instructions that conform to ISO9001 Standard.
? Develop and analyze CMMS reports to determine maintenance systems effectiveness. Develop and implement action plans for continuous improvement.
? Attend safety, department, and other business meetings.
? Able to work overtime when required, including emergency call-ins on off-shifts, weekends, and holidays.
? Department management, including maintaining budget, inventory control, record keeping and daily department direction. Manage small to medium sized capital projects, including research of equipment options, ordering of equipment, tracking cost against budget, implementing project installation, etc. Primary responsibility for up to $150,000 in capital projects and contributory responsibility for $500,000 in operating expenses.
? Insure compliance with Quality Systems.
? Manage Maintenance department resources such as contractors, vendors, CMMS, etc.
? Be highly trained in manufacturing system repair and maintenance, able to function independently with limited outside consulting help.

Reqirements/Skills - Qualifications
? High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
? Combination of 8 years of previous maintenance experience and/or technical training.
? Must be able to work in a leadership role as part of a team and work with minimal to no supervision. High level of initiative required.
? Excellent math, reading, and communication skills. Ability to draft IS0 9001 Work Instructions and Procedures.
? Excellent computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency with using a computerized maintenance management system, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
? Demonstrate an ability to work well with others.
? Have an excellent understanding of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
? Demonstrate a high aptitude for analyzing and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment.
? Demonstrate an ability to perform all job duties to the highest quality standards. Must conform to ISO9001 Standards.
? Demonstrate an ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings.
? Excellent knowledge of PLC software and hardware systems.
? Demonstrate excellent understanding of PID controllers, temperature transmitters, air/liquid flow transmitters, frequency transmitters, pressure transmitters and other controls.
? Demonstrate good knowledge of AC & DC variable speed drives.

Preferred Skills
? Associate degree in Industrial Electronics or 2 years Vocational Technical training with certification.
? Universal Refrigerant License and refrigeration equipment experience.
? Pipefitting, and related skills.
? Certified Welder.
? State Unrestricted Electrical License.
? Strong mechanical and electrical backgrounds.
? Extensive PLC experience with programming and troubleshooting skills.
? Machining skills.
