Master Process Technician

StaffingMaster is currently assisting our client, Ball Corporation, in the search for a Master Process Technician (Senior Maintenance Mechanic).

 

Ball Corporation produces PET plastic containers and pre-forms for the beverage industry.  We make products in a variety of shapes and sizes used for carbonated beverages, waters, juices and flavored alcoholic beverages.  We operate five PET plants across the U.S. and supply customers nationwide with more than five billion bottles and pre-forms each year.  We also operate a high-tech development and engineering center where we explore new technologies for manufacturing processes, container design, and product testing.

 

This is a 12 hour rotating shift position that is located at the Delran, New Jersey manufacturing facility (15 minutes outside of Philadelphia).



 

Position Responsibilities:

 

This position will perform tasks and provide services to support the plant?s overall business plan and objectives.  A qualified candidate will be able to understand complex technology, make good technical decisions, have the ability to take action and solve problem in a timely and effective manner.  Specific duties include:

 Troubleshoot, repair, install, erect, move and/or dismantle all types of plastic manufacturing, auxiliary equipment, and support equipment.Work with and train machine operators and preventative maintenance technicians.Work with management to identify inefficiencies and potential problems. Implement changes to improve issues identified.Ensure efficient equipment operation.Update schematics and document processes/procedures.

 

Qualifications:

 

1.  Three years of job related experience.

2.  High school diploma or equivalent required.

3.  High speed production and palletizing systems experience.

4.  In-depth knowledge of complex mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

5.  Programmable Logic Controls (PLC), HVAC, burner systems, motor controls, industrial electricity experience is a plus.

6.  Working knowledge of:  solid state circuitry, electronics, electrical-mechanical devices, transmission systems, interface units, AC/DC motors, wiring diagrams and schematics, computers and inspection and digital devices.

7.  Must be a good troubleshooter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

8.  Ability to use basic hand and power tools, and electronic test equipment.

9.  Ability to work 12 hour shifts, rotating days to nights in a manufacturing environment.
