Master Scheduler/Planner

Leggett & Platt, Inc. ? Commercial Vehicle Products is seeking a Master Scheduler / Planner at a facility located in Cleveland, Ohio.? This facility installs components in commercial vans including, metal racks and shelving units among other items.?

Under limited supervision, this individual will requisition and procure production materials, equipment and maintenance supplies necessary for the operation of multiple facilities. The qualified candidate will spend time planning, monitoring, and expediting materials to ensure the timely completion of the daily and weekly production schedule. Collaboration with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Plant Managers to identify and realize improvements in quality and on-time delivery is essential. Time will also be spent assisting in developing and improving materials management processes and procedures.

The successful applicant will have a degree in Business Administration, or a related field, or 3-5 years equivalent experience in material/production planning and scheduling. The ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment is essential.? Knowledge of planning practices, including inventory management and job scheduling is a must.? It is critical to have the ability to understand and analyze BOM?s, Master Schedule and excess and obsolete inventory and also the ability to collect, analyze and summarize information and trends.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to communicate both orally and in writing with advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
