Material Logistics Specialist

CITY: Florence STATE: South Carolina COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Create, implement and monitor material procurement schedule to assure material availability and inventory control. Provide the primary interface between Sourcing, Manufacturing and Engineering with regard to schedules and material/component availability. Lead the implementation of materials delivery to support lean manufacturing efforts.

*Assist in the development of timely and accurate production schedules for assigned manufacturing areas.
*Assure availability of required direct materials.
*Measure and control inventory levels within business goals.
*Responsible for effective ECR/ECO implementation and configuration control.
*Provide initiative and support for new approaches to reduce inventory and cycle times.
*Generate and implement process improvements to improve and maintain efficiency and effectiveness of material flow.
*Perform materials management responsibilities, such as:
*Overall ownership of material ordering and availability.
*Expedite part shortages.
*Daily Shortage root cause investigation and resolution.
*Communication with suppliers - packaging, min/max planning. PCNs, as they relate to old/existing parts.
*Identify and lead Lean Action Work Outs.
*Support material aspects of transfers, supplier.
*Manage Phase In/Phase Out (NPI) to minimize obsolete material.


Qualifications/Requirements:
*BA/BS degree or HS diploma/ GED and 5 yrs experience in materials or production scheduling, manufacturing experience.
* Materials or production scheduling experience
*Demonstrated computer proficiency
*Working knowledge of Oracle Systems
*Must be able to work in a Global environment
*You must be willing to take a drug test
*You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background

*You must be willing to work out of an office located in Florence, SC
