About the Opportunity



We are currently seeking a skilled Material Coordinator for our Torrance location. The candidate will support program management and be responsible for coordinating and monitoring all material functions for specific international spacecraft programs.



The primary responsibilities of this position include:

?Receives, reviews and analyzes material requirements and support documents for completeness

?Assist program management in establishing material priorities

?Generates acquisition documents to obtain material from supplier and/or in-house resources

?Monitors problems pertaining to purchase requisitions as ?key contact?. Ensures that all related documents are correctly routed and problems resolved in a timely manner

?Coordinates release of data required to process purchase requisitions

?Provides material status reports, including critical items reports

?Develops and maintains on-dock material schedules based on program requirements

?Reviews receiving reports

?Monitors the flow of material through purchasing, receiving and quality inspection

?Provides project material support such as, parts staging activities, kitting, shipping and inventory control activities

?Assists in reconciling material problems with affected departments



Education and Experience:



?Five years of progressive experience working in material control

?Must be team oriented; flexible and able to adapt to varying workloads

?Must have good verbal and written communication skills
