Materials Manager - OR Facility (1174)

Key responsibility for overseeing the local materials functions of purchasing, inventory control, receiving and warehouse. Will provide leadership and support for working with local vendors, receving of materials, inspection of incoming materials, and auditing of all inventory and inventory records. Will work with the central Medallion Materials and Pruchasing Managers to develop materials requirements and materials delivery requirements for all products produced at the Independence facility. Will participate in identifying local vendors, negotiate pricing for all local commodities, and develop positive supplier relationships consistent with the company's strategic plan and objectives.

 

 

 

Required Skills:

 

Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members and create a poitive team invironment. Poition reqires excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Also requires strong computer and analytical skills.

 

 

Experience Required:

 

Bachelor's degree in materials management or related discipline. 5 - 6 years management experience in purchasing, materials and/or inventory control in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of wood products a plus.
