Materials Technical Advisor

CITY: Erie STATE: Pennsylvania COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Job Summary:
Provide direction and material support for the Locomotive COE, specifically for Building 12 Rad Cab Line. Responsible for scheduling, resolving issues, tracking material availability and advising on material usage. Design and implement processes and systems for control and replenishment of materials. Promote customer satisfaction and develop positive customer relationships. Responsible for attaining all aspects of production operation including safety, scheduling, quality, lean, and team development in assigned areas. Must be able to make data driven decisions and utilizing Lean and Six Sigma tools.

Essential Functions:

Strong PC, Microsoft access, Data warehouse and production planning experience.

Systems thinking apptitude - able to determine the impact of actions on business.

Familiarity with materials and equipment that is relevant to the function.

Green Belt training and experience preferred.

Strong propensity for excelling in a demanding environment.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Effective team player and facilitator.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree.

1+ Years Experience in a manufacturing experience.

4+ years of leadership role in business or manufacturing in lieu of a degree.

Desired:

Knowledge of safety agency regulations is preferred.

Strong background in the interpretation of engineering drawings/specifications and manufacturing processes.

Self-directed, highly detail oriented, organized, and flexible.

Leadership Program Graduate Highly Preferred.

B.S. Degree in Engineering or Technical Discipline.
