Mechanical Engineering Manager

 

Davlyn Industries Inc., a leading international cosmetics contract manufacturer, has an immediate opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Manager in our Monroe Twp. facility. 

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling activities related to the mechanical and physical aspects of the facility. 

 

Specific duties include the following:

 

Facility-Wide

?  Developing and managing capital budgets for all assigned areas.

?  Maintaining Plant Utilities & Production Equipment while acting as a liaison with federal, state, and local agencies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

?  New Product Development for mechanical-related issues and the development of improvement plans for existing processes to achieve increased quality and productivity.

?  Working with the Company?s Advanced Maintenance Management System (AMMS) to develop preventive maintenance programs for building, utilities, and facilities equipment.

?  Working with Quality Assurance and Quality Control in establishing IQ/OQ/PQ Protocols in support of CFR 21 211 requirements.

?  Responding to Corrective/Preventive Action Requests and following up to ensure that the corrective action has been implemented.

 

Production/MaintenanceEnsuring that all equipment is in good operating condition, identifying potential constraints in productivity, and initiating solutions and improvements.Communicating with vendors for the procurement of necessary equipment and/or quotes for equipment.Creating labor standards to measure production mechanics? performance and identify employee training needs.Working with Production maintenance personnel in determining required change parts and new machinery needed for new production, as well as determining ways to reduce labor cost of existing products.

 

FacilitiesEstablishing contact with, and directing efforts of, architects, engineers, contractors and consultants in facilities projects.Developing cost-effective operating budgets and implementing facility department SOP?s that will include safety, security, hazardous material handling, EPA, FDA, and OSHA regulatory requirements. Individual will also implement and monitor Environmental Management Programs within departments.Working with departments on identifying potential issues and improvements for Maintenance operations.Responsible for sourcing of housekeeping services, grounds maintenance services, as well as managing/directing activities relating to the physical security of the facility.Responding to emergency situations within the facility.

 

Qualified Candidates will have the following:10 years experience in maintenance, primarily production-related and secondarily facilities and cosmetic-related.  5 years experience with regulatory issues within a GMP-controlled cosmetic companyBS in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.Candidate must also have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively solicit support and cooperation at all levels within the organization.
