Mechanical Project Support Engineer

Pioneer Automotive Technologies is a leading Tier One manufacturer of automotive electronics. Located just north of Cincinnati and south of Dayton.

We currently have an opening for a Mechanical Project Support Engineer in our Springboro, Ohio facility.

 

Job requires strong computer and communication skills. Responsibilities will be engineering support for our manufacturing groups, design integration of new models and to generate CAD drawings. Candidate must be creative & flexible.

 

Job duties include:

Develop solutions to meet customer requirements.

Create drawings using CAD systems (CATIA v5)

Supports OEM project leaders. Responsible for all mechanical issues for projects assigned. Performs various tests and prepares reports for internal and external OEM customers. Testing for continuous product improvement.

Communicates product results with internal/external customers and supports project leaders.

 

Requirements:

BSME or related technical degree

5 to 7 years experience in component part design and/or OEM technical support.

Solid modeling experience

Familiarity with electronics/component manufacturing process including tooling, fabrication, and assembly.

Proficiency with Microsoft software; Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Planner.

 

Candidates should have:

Knowledge of metal stampings, injection molding, die cast, and tooling.

QS9000 familiarity. Strong design experience with desire to lead projects.

Domestic and International travel will be involved.

Ability to speak Japanese is a plus.
