Scope of Position:
1. Provide CAD drafting support Melting and Batching Engineers in the support of internal customer projects.
2. Provide effective drafting support and communications between Corning Engineers, external vendors, and our internal global customers, in delivering project requirements.
3. Support, and maintain drawing archiving systems within the COE.
4. Work effectively as a member of the melting services global team.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
1. Provide CAD drafting support to Engineers within the Bulk Material and Melting engineering team.
2. Update and generate drawings and schematics in support of melting and batching engineers, and provide drafting solutions to engineers.
3. Support the engineering and project efforts through interfacing with other engineering groups and attending project team meetings.
4. Interface with external engineering groups in supplying drawings and receivership of drawings and in support of the overall project deliverables.
5. Utilize and support the drawing archiving systems currently used within the Thermal Equipment Engineering COE.
6. Support project deliverables via checkout and testing of equipment at outside engineering groups.
7. Liaise and effectively communicate with global project team in support of assigned projects.

M ? F 8:00AM ? 5:00PMREQUIREMENTS

Required Skills:
1. Proven skills on AutoCAD 2D
2. Microsoft software experience
3. Good computer skills.
4. Self motivated.
5. Ability to communicate with facility and design engineers.
6. Ability to lead and organize and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision

Desired Skills :
1. Knowledge and experience of Solid Works would be an advantage.
2. Knowledge of typical plant equipment, such as fans, blowers, pumps and valves etc.
3. Ability to use own judgment in assessing software needs or update requirements.
4. Knowledge and experience of MS Project.

Education and Experience:
1. Associates Technical Degree or higher.
2. 5 ? 15 years experience

5. Good written and oral skills.
