 WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

Reporting to the Director of Fulfillment, the ideal candidate will posses strong leadership skills and have demonstrated the ability to do technical evaluation of product quality and construction across multiple product categories in a retail or manufacturing environment.  This candidate will also have the expertise to develop and implement standards and processes that monitor and assure the quality of all incoming products, to improve customer satisfaction and reduce returns, while maintaining efficient processing of receipt flow.  The candidate will be based in Memphis and will also serve as a liaison with the corporate Quality Assurance Department, Merchandising, Purchasing and Product Development teams.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Establish a merchandize/product quality audit process to ensure product development standards/specifications were met upon order receipt and prior to entering inventory.  Validate merchandise labeling, packaging and product requirements have been met as outlined by the product information sheet and production sample.Ensure that there will be no degradation of inventory in storage due to environmental, external, or other factors.Develop the organization to ensure consistent decision making in regards to product quality.Organize workflow for each inspector to maintain efficient processing of product; establish turnaround time metrics and execution measures.Collaborate with the corporate technical design team, product merchants, product development team, and/or purchasing as appropriate, to make disposition decisions on products that do not conform to our standards.Collaborate with corporate Quality Assurance to identify and evaluate high returning items and action plans. QUALIFICATIONS

 

? BA/BS degree in a related field.

? 5 or more years in a merchandise quality control/distribution or manufacturing environment with supervisory experience.  Footwear, Textiles and/or Medical Soft Goods experience preferred.

? Demonstrated leadership in project-management and analytically based problem-solving.

? Must have in-depth knowledge of inspection criteria and processes.

? Detail oriented.

? Ability to be flexible and successfully handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a high growth environment.

? Must posses a high level of computer literacy with advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.

? Demonstrated ability to influence and coach team members at both the associate and managerial levels.

? Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
