OPERATIONS ENGINEER (E/L)

Job Description:
This position will support the manufacturing operations for the Beverage Packaging Division.  Duties will include the following areas:* Hands-on involvement with project and special assignment work involved with all aspects of the aluminum metal-forming packaging process* Involvement with manufacturing line design, re-design, equipment installation, troubleshooting, product line trials, and other operational support roles* Analysis of production problems and assistance in implementing solutions* Provide training and direction in the start-up of new manufacturing processes* Act as the liason between corporate engineering and the manufacturing plants

Job Requirements:
Requirements for this position will include the following:* BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline* 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, perferably in a high-speed or metal forming operation* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access and various CAD software* Certification in Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) desirable* Effective problem solving skills, analytical approach to problems and project management experience* Effective working both independently or in a team environment* Effective communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills* Ability to travel 70-80% of the job
