Operations Manager- Manufacturing

Company Info:  We are a plastics injection molder with painting operations seeking an Operations Manager to manage our southeast region facility.  This individual must be multi-task oriented, excellent communicator, strong people skills and have a broad background in a manufacturing environment. 

 

Position Description:  To provide leadership and direction for production, maintenance, quality and shipping/receiving.  Coordinates plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely, and cost effective manner.  Work closely with senior management staff to address strategic issues to help chart the direction of the future.

 

Responsibilities:  Ensure that departments are performing efficiently in order to safely produce products of the highest quality and lowest possible cost.  Designs, plans layout, and oversees workers engaged in construction, controlling, and improving equipment to carry out paint processes on commercial scale.  Plans, coordinates, and manages all manufacturing activities and resources including engineering, production, and quality.  Reviews and evaluates cost effectiveness, consistency, quality, accuracy, and performance to standards and takes actions as necessary to correct discrepancies.  Assist in developing and controlling profits, plans and budgets.  Incorporate shop floor organizations and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.

 

Qualifications:  10+ years experience of operations management (including responsibility for managing multi-functions).  Bachelors degree and/or paint line experience preferred.
