Operations Planning Analyst

Lord Corporation, a privately held corporation with over $500 million in sales and a leader in the development, manufacture, and marketing of innovative adhesive, coating and motion management products, is looking for an Operations Planning Analyst in its Erie, Pennsylvania facility.

 

The primary duties will include the detail level execution of key Planning processes:  the generation of the master production schedule for capacity planning, analysis of inventory and creation of inventory tools, establishment and maintenance of MRP parameters, and support of the Pre-S&OP activities for the plant operations and demand planning. The successful candidate is expected to be skilled in Demand Driven Operations principles, lead the planning phase of DDO and provide ongoing training and assistance to the individuals at multiple facilities.  The position requires the ability to assist in the ongoing development of operations planning processes utilizing consensus forecasting as an input to long term planning in SAP. This position works cooperatively with multiple functions to ensure replenishment lead times are updated, aligned to order lead times, and inventory production policies are optimized for the targeted customer service level and total cost. The incumbent will have accountability for identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and participate in quarterly audits of DDO processes and metrics related to the Operations Planning function and the plants.

 

Mandatory qualifications are a Bachelor?s Degree with 1-3 years experience in master production scheduling and MRP systems, practical experience in Demand Driven Operations methodology, and demonstrated proficiency in SAP and Excel. Individual will possess strong interpersonal skills and function efficiently in a team environment. Non-Mandatory qualifications include proficiency in the SAP PP and MM modules, and experience in the implementation of Demand Driven Operations in a manufacturing environment.
