PLANNING & SCHEDULING MANAGER 

 

Position Summary:
Responsible for managing the production scheduling
and planning functions as well as development of production schedules for all manufacturing work centers. Works closely with production management to identify improvement opportunities and eliminate constraints. Makes recommendations and provides input to manufacturing regarding anticipated machine, tool,
or manpower constraints. Acts as liaison between manufacturing and sales. Regularly communicates actual schedule condition. Works to improve the predictability of delivery of product and improve customer satisfaction. 

 

Education and Experience:
? 5-7 years of experience planning and scheduling in a lean manufacturing environment, and a minimum of 1-3 years in a leadership role.
? Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
? Hands on, 'go and see' approach.
? Understanding of MRP/ERP.APICS certification a plus.
? Inventory management experience.
? Cost accounting knowledge helpful.
? Experience in a start-up environment a plus.
