PLANT GENERAL MANAGER

Our client, a manufacturer of specialty chemicals, is seeking an experienced manager to oversee the operations in one of its production facilities.

They are seeking manager who has experience in general management at the operations level, including management of production, personnel, finance, safety, procurement and quality assurance.


This position is located in Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Oversee the operations of the company's manufacturing facility
Management of all key business processes at the facility in collaboration with the managers who have specific functional responsibility.
Ensure the effective operational capability of the facility, driving improvements in operational capabilities, efficiencies and quality.
Manage the operating costs of plant equipment and other assets, including management of maintenance and capital costs and budgets to assure acceptable return on investment.
Oversee the budgeting process for the facility, and monitor departmental performance against established budgets to meet financial objectives.
Coach, mentor and develop employees, both direct and indirect reports, assuring effective teamwork and individual effectiveness within the organization.
Lead community outreach, manage the relationship with government and community organizations and public interest groups.

REQUIRMENTS INCLUDE:
BS degree in Engineering, Science or other technical discipline.
10+ years of manufacturing experience.
5+ years of management experience, including supervising personnel, as well as budgetary and financial management.
