PLANT OPERATOR

A national company is seeking a qualified Plant Operator for its facility near Marlow. The work schedule is a 12-hour shift schedule. Overtime will be required as needed.

This person will be responsible for the operation of the various plant processing units that include amine sweetening, glycol and sour gas injection. Other responsibilities include the operation and general maintenance of related equipment including turbine compressors and generators, reciprocating and centrifugal pumps, and separators; interpreting and analyzing data to effectively troubleshoot plant process and equipment problems and to detect optimization opportunities and differences that may indicate leaks, spills, hazardous situations and malfunctioning equipment; performance of routine lab procedures such as amine strength titration and general analysis; directing and organizing contractor operations when necessary.

Ideal candidates will be comfortable with the operation of personal computers and be able to input data into a computer. Previous experience as a gas plant operator, refinery operator or an offshore operator is preferred but not required.

We are looking for individuals that are self-starting and motivated to learn and perform plant operator duties with minimal supervision; have excellent oral and written communication, teamwork, and planning and organization skills; and have an ability to identify problems, generate ideas, and implement solutions to new and existing problems.

Familiarity with PLC equipment and basic understanding of process control and unit operations, including heat and mass transfer and fluid flow is preferred.
