PROCESS SUPPORT SPEC 2A

Job Responsibilities:

Provides direct support of automated radioactive pharmaceutical manufacturing
and utilities equipment. Supports all aspects of equipment operation from
process control programming and troubleshooting to mechanical alignment,
electrical wiring, pneumatics and plumbing. Due to the justintime manufacturing
schedule forradiopharmaceuticals, specialists must be able to perform the same
or better level work done by equipment vendor reps. Demonstrates a high degree
of ownership, initiative and problem solving abilities. Solves problems quickly
and correctly with complete documentation and approval as required by change
control procedures. Communicates and coordinates activities with other groups
such as Production, Product Support, QA, QC, Distribution, RPO and SHEA to
ensure that all aspects of equipment recovery meet the expectations for
quality, safety and timelyshipment of product. Decision making and judgment
used during recovery is critical and can determine the final status of the
production batch. Design and implement changes to equipment to eliminate the
root causes of production problems a nd to improve equipment performance.
Support the design, testing and validation of new manufacturing equipment.
Assemble system specifications for new equipment and serve as study director
for Installation and Operational Qualifications.

Job Requirements/Education:

The successful candidate will possess or have the ability to obtain many or
allof the following technical skills. Troubleshooting and programming skills
for industrial control system components such as Modicon and AB PLC, vision
systems and PanelviewPanelmate HMIs. Experience and understanding of high
purity water systems such RO, WFI, and Clean Steam. Experience and
understanding of radiopharmaceutical manufacturing processes such as batching,
filling, steam sterilization, packaging, etc. Safety skills for industrial and
radioactive environments. Understanding of cGMPs for parenteral manufacturing.
Mechanical skills for mechanisms and alignments. Electrical, electronic and
instrumentation skills. Plumbing and pipefitting skills. Machining, fabrication
and hand tool skills. Drawing interpretation skills. Understanding of
validation requirements. Massachusetts Firemans License for Steam Plant
Operation preferred, but not required. In addition a well qualified candidate
must have excellent communications skills both verbal and written. Demonstrated
high ownership, initiative and problem solving skills. Must be flexible to
extended and offhours work. Rotating weekend coverage is required.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
