PRODUCT MANAGER ? CONVEYOR COMPONENTS
is charged with product line contribution as a business unit for conveyor components.
PRODUCT MANAGER ? CONVEYING PRODUCTS
is charged with product line contribution as a business unit for conveying chains and modular belts.
The responsibility extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. Products will be built from existing ideas and the development of new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and prospects. The individual must possess a blend of business and technical expertise, a ?big-picture? vision, and the drive to make the vision a reality.
The Product Manager will define a go-to-market strategy ? product positioning, features and benefits, targeting-of customers and prospects ? and coordinate product launch activities with an engineering counterpart and the sales channel. Extensive time is required in the marketplace to understand applications opportunities and to formulate solutions.
Requirements:
?Minimum BS/BA Degree in Marketing, Business or related.
?Three years as Product Manager or five years as a Product Specialist at an OEM or Distributor organization involved in the food, beverage, or materials conveying industries.
?Possesses business acumen, a ?big-picture vision?, and a record of product line ?growth? performance.
?Excellent inter-personal, networking and ?team-building? skills. Strong organizational and motivational skills.
?Travel to customer and non-customer sites in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico (40/50%).
Position Profile:
?Conducts market research ? writes marketing and product plans - monitors product development projects ? writes product specifications ? prepares case studies - performs win/loss analysis ? approves promotional materials ? trains salespeople ? travels on sales calls.
