PRODUCTION ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN

Northgate Technologies Inc. is seeking a self-motivated individual with a minimum 3-5 years experience in a custom machine fabrication/assembly environment.  The applicant will perform medical device assembly, testing and calibration based on shop orders that are cut to the production floor.  This permanent position requires experience in electro-mechanical and pneumatic assemblies and might include basic troubleshooting.  In this position, you will build and test electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for gas delivery systems.

 

The ability to do basic electrical wiring from prints, operate standard manual machine shop equipment, air tools, torque wrenches, etc. and fabricate assemblies or modify parts of various complexities working from prints, sketches and assembly drawings is essential.  Position requires basic knowledge of electronics measurements and requires ability to follow drawings and assembly instructions.  Common assemblies that we build are front and rear panel assemblies as well as the final chassis assemblies.  Requires good manual dexterity in working with tools and good communication skills.  Experience in leak testing, module and sub-assembly testing, and inspection a plus.

Position Requirements and Specifications:

? 2-3 years of experience in electrical / mechanical production testing and rework is desired.

. Associates degree in electronic theory or equivalent would be a plus.
?  Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail required.
? Background in electronics assembly or medical instrument manufacturing.
?  Ability to use electrical and mechanical test equipment and tooling in a proficient manner and interpret the results of tests.
? Ability to foster teamwork attitude through demonstrated actions and provides a positive role model for fellow employees.
? Must be a self-starter with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
? Ability to problem-solve on a daily basis any situation that may arise involving equipment or production issues and document and effectively communicate resolutions to management.
? Familiarity with process documentation, work instructions and process maps.

 


 

Salary for this position is between $11-$14 per hour.  This wage is commensurate with experience. We provide 100% paid medical insurance coverage for employees and 2 weeks of vacation after 1 year.  The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and benefits.
