PRODUCTION MACHINES MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

 

 

COS Samoa Packing Company, a U.S. tuna processing and packaging company of Chicken of the Sea International operating in the U. S. Territory of American Samoa, currently has a vacancy in the Production Engineering/Maintenance Department for a Production Machines Maintenance Supervisor.

 

Successful candidate must be a High School graduate or equivalent. Must possess at least five (5) years hands-on experience in production maintenance. Excellent English communications skills required. Must be able to work all scheduled shifts including 24/7 call-out.

 

Hands-on experience in preventive maintenance and repairs of packing equipment, double seamers, can palletizing and conveying systems highly desirable. Knowledge of standard operating procedures for food processing, sanitation, safety and cost control advantageous. Knowledge of label and casing operations and set up of equipment desirable. Ability to schedule flexible product lines and manage critical supply inventories preferred. Literacy in use of PC software programs, i.e., spreadsheets, database, etc. advantageous. Supervisory/management skills training desirable. Ability to communicate in Samoan a plus.
