PURCHASING AGENT/SR BUYER

BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Purchases raw materials, equipment, supplies and services of high value above $100,000; negotiates prices and terms with suppliers to obtain satisfactory purchase orders and/or contracts for the key commodities as required by the organization in a timely manner.


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Purchasing or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Seven years professional level buying experience in related industry.

Purchasing certificate preferred. Good understanding of other materials functions, especially material planning, inventory control and accounting preferred.

Mathematical accuracy, detail oriented, manage prioritized multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, & etc.).

SAP Experience a must!!

Exceptions to SAP are Oracle, PeopleSoft, or any large ERP system.
