Packaging Laboratory Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

Sealed Air is seeking to hire a full time packaging laboratory engineer to work in our Packaging Design and Development Center, located in City of Industry, California. Through the use of CAD and CNC Router programming, this packaging engineer will design prototype and production tooling for use with our Instapak? polyurethane foam systems.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Familiar with CAD and CNC programming. (will train the right candidate)

- Ability to visualize and manipulate three-dimensional shapes.

- Ability to work with power tools to perform basic wood working task.

-  Understand basic computer functions and their appropriate applications.

-  Work with a database to prioritize and organize design projects.

 

 Additional Responsibilities

-  Able to work in a very fast paced and demanding environment.

-  Ability to clearly communicate with other designers, sales representatives, customers, and manufacturers.

-  Excellent researching ability to continuously evolve the fluidity and flow of the lab.

-  Capable of playing the role of  ?Team Leader? with woodshop personnel.

-  Perform ISTA package integrity test.

-  Travel as required, including occasional long-distance multi-day trips.
