Packaging Operator

Packaging Operator Description: Maintain total compliance to all health, safety, environmental and quality requirements of the department.
Perform housekeeping in process on regular basis to insure a safe operation.
Starting up, troubleshooting and shutting down various mechanical equipment systems.
Complete Process Record keeping.
Responsible for various operations, such as covering the small extruder while packaging, packaging from various vessels in the department, and unloading and staging raw materials when unloader is on vacation.
Conduct in process testing and sampling as required.
Responsible for performing various process maintenance activities, preparing equipment for maintenance, signing in work orders and returning equipment to service upon completion of maintenance activities.
Responsible for finished product packaging. This consists of label making, filling totes, drumming product in 30 or 50 gallon drums or bulk loading of tank trucks.
Input production and other information directly into Prism.
Work as part of PCG team providing assistance as needed in other departments.
