Packaging Technician

This leading manufacturer located near the beautiful coastal area of Wilmington, North Carolina is seeking packaging technicians.

 

Primary Function:

The purpose of the Packaging Technician position is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair high speed Packaging Line equipment, to achieve safety, quality and finished case output. Most equipment is PLC controlled. Past experience with an automated maintenance system is a plus. There is a strong emphasis on safety and manufacturing practices related to cosmetic / pharmaceutical manufacturing. Successful applicants in this position must demonstrate self-direction, and an ability to work with minimal supervision. Extended work schedules as well as daily and weekend overtime as required.

Requirements:


* Must have experience operating, troubleshooting & repair of high-speed packaging and related production equipment in the cosmetic industry.

* Strong mechanical background a must

* Strong electrical background a must, PLC background a plus

* Strong pneumatic background a must
* Ability to work with others and/or independently, self-motivated, team player, helpful, flexible.

* Must be willing to work overtime.

* Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out, Machine Guarding & Electrical Safety Regs.
* Demonstrates Safe Work Practices
* Committed to continuous skill development.

* Knowledge of cGMP.

* Knowledge of pharmaceutical SOPs

* Knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging equipment and processes.

* Ability to conduct multiple tasks or priorities.
