Paint/Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description:

This position is responsible for supervising the Paint and Maintenance Department team members in a fast paced Lean Manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include meeting the delivery schedules, training and motivating competent workers, maintaining a clean, safe workplace, while following policies and procedures. Ensures the highest level of productivity and quality standards for the products produced. Internal contacts include all levels of operations; external contacts include vendors and customers.



Requirements:Minimum of 8 year experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment preferably in the heavy equipment field with 3-5 years experience as a supervisor. Knowledge of industrial painting processes and techniques and in-depth knowledge of facility maintenance. Ensures productivity and quality standards while minimizing downtime, organizing PM?s and preparing budgets. Experience using PC and software programs such as MS Office applications. Ability to write and implement area process improvements. Good verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively implement change. Commitment to Lean Principles. Demonstrated leadership ability and excellent problem solving skills. Candidates should be familiar with the principles of Visual Controls, Continuous Improvement, and five S?s. Responsible for training, conducting and providing ongoing coaching and feedback to supervised team members.
