Paint Mixer/Color Blender

  The Chemical Coatings Division is currently searching for a reliable and responsible Color Blender at our Phoenix facility.  This is a part time position that offers a competitive salary and full time and career growth opportunities



 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

? Prepare customer orders, including blending initial batch, making shade adjustments, filling and labeling batches.

? Make shade and gloss adjustments to meet customer requirements.

? Prepare spray-out and draw-down test panels.

? Ensure customers? quality and service expectations are met.

? Clean and repair store equipment

? Operate all material handling, tinting, mixing and testing equipment.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 



? Employee is required to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion.  May assist with handling drums of material excess of 100 lbs.

? Employee is required to tint paint, therefore, must have good color perception.

? Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone.

? Minimum high school education or equivalent.

? Ability to work all scheduled hours as needed.

? Prefer experience as a paint mixer with the ability to understand pigment variations and characteristics and the tinting process.
