Part Time Inventory Clerk

Position Summary: Stock inventory shelves, pull inventory for unit and parts orders, cycle count parts, transact issues in data system. Monitor parts for dispatch to the machine shop and stock there inbound shelves.  Investigates and acts on discrepancies and errors.  Receipt and distribution of inbound goods, associated documentation and computer input.  Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Pulls inventory items from pick lists for the machine shop and assembly.  Notes shortages on pick lists.  Delivers parts to respective areas. Pulls spare parts for unit and parts orders.  Packages parts as necessary, marked with part numbers, and delivers to shipping.Trained to back up receiving;Identifies materials, using part numbers and complete descriptions, for easy retrieval.  Makes sure all pallets, bins and shelves are clearly labeled. Neatly stores raw material, spare parts, and finished goods by weight and volume on shelves and racks as required. Labels all raw metal bar stock and puts away in weld area. Pulls, labels, and crates inventory shipment to Georgia service location every week. Creates ?kit? work orders as required.Performs cycle counts as needed by Purchasing or Production Control.  Investigates and reconciles discrepancies using data system.Knowledgeable on the data base, capable of  correcting issue transaction errors in data system. Maintains good housekeeping practices, observes company policies and safety rules.Perform other duties as required by management. Experience/Training/Education: Must have 1-2-yrs experience in warehouse / inventory management.  Legible penmanship, good verbal and written understanding of the English language, ability to work from written and verbal instructions, Valid California driver?s license.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.  Must have previous computer experience relative to data entry and inventory management.Detail oriented, able to work in fast-paced environment, flexible and adaptable to changing  circumstances

 

 Physical and Environmental Elements:  Machine shop environment.  Works around a variety of material, including steel, cast iron, and aluminum.  Uses small tools, hammers, power saws, and banding machine to skid and crate large items.  Operates forklifts.
