Patternmaker - Express Production - Columbus, Ohio.

The patternmaker Express is responsible for creating and making needed pattern corrections from development through production for NY and Columbus technical team as well as for global vendors and partners. Maintains fit consistency via pattern block creation and implementation.

This position reports to the Director of technical Services ? Express and has no direct reports.

Must possess the ability to:


. Demonstrate strong patternmaking expertise with understanding of garment construction, sewing and fit, ensuring product is consistent with Express standards

. Proven ability evaluating garments, creating and making pattern adjustments for development and production garments.

. Experience participating in fit sessions with technical design partners.

. Ability to evaluate factory made patterns and makes adjustments as per fit session.

. Ability to initiate and analyze graded nests and markers.

. Digitizes patterns for global partners.

. Partners with technical designer to create new fit blocks and fit matrix.

. Maintain an organized pattern library and history in Accumark as per the Express pattern procedure.

. Creates patterns from a garment or sketch.

. Draping.

. Accountability to partner with tech designer to have consistent information.

. Ability to self manage/work independently.

. Seven to ten years of production patternmaker experience in the garment industry in both knits and woven fabrications for men and women, REQUIRED.

. Ability to interpret styles from sketch, photo or garment with a trained eye for proportion and balance as well as aesthetic detail, REQUIRED.

. Ability to evaluate garments, creates and makes pattern adjustments for both development and production garments., REQUIRED.

. Evaluates factory made patterns and makes necessary adjustments as per fit session.

. Strong manual and computerized patternmaking skills using Accumark Gerber / Lectra systems and Web PDM, REQUIRED.

. Problem solving and resolution oriented.

. Good written and verbal communication skills.

. Ability to work and travel domestically and internationally as needed.

. College degree or equivalent work experience.
