Position Description:
The Plant HR Manager, Jackson, develops and/ or administers HR policy while directing and coordinating human resources activities, such as: recruiting & employment, compensation, safety, benefits, training and employee relations by performing the following functions.

? Assure that facility is in compliance with all federal, state and local legal requirements and that all required reports are prepared and forwarded.
? Coordinate, through the HR & Safety Supervisor, the administration of a proactive safety program.
? Coordinates the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of employees to fill vacant positions.
? Administers benefit program and addresses issues related to the services provided.
? Oversees all Training programs within the facility and monitors their progress and effectiveness.
? Supports Plant Manager is the administration of Performance Reviews, Organization Analysis, and Salary Administration.
? Work with first line supervisors to develop their skills.
? Develop and administer department budget.

Position Requirements:
? The requires a BS Degree in a related field, or six to eight years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
? Strong understanding of organizational development, compensation systems, benefits administration, safety programs and training.
? 3 or more years HR experience in a manufacturing environment, including recruitment and training.
? Good verbal and written communication skills.
? Ability to travel 10%.

Typical plant working conditions: fast-paced environment, seasonal temperatures, noise levels, dust, and moving machinery.
