Plant Leader - Snacks Foods
Summary/Responsibilities of this position:
This position will manage mid-high level individual contributors as well asTeam Leaders at the San Antonio Snacks Food Plant. The incumbent will apply expert subject matter knowledge to complex business issues. Develops guidelines and procedures to set future precedent and direction for the plant. Will assist with strategy development and set policy and direction for functional areas. Will also lead cross-division, multi-functional teams. Other key responsibilities include implementing and maintaining partner, team and plant development strategies, leading efforts to ensure that the plant is in compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, guidelines and governance. This position will also maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and outside resources. At the same time, will ensure compliance with the Corporate Food Quality and Safety Standards, establish store fill rate and inventory targets, trace and analyze fill rate results and reallocate plant resources if needed. The incumbent will establish and communicate staffing and performance standards, and allocate resources to maintain the facility and equipment to standard. Will also be responsible for capital planning and execution of such projects, as well as establishing operating budgets and delivering results.
Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Food Science/Technology, Industrial Technology, or Business Management (preferred).5 - 8 years of related industry experience. Previous experience in a Snacks Manufacturing environment a plus.High performance Work Team Experience.Expert knowledge and compliance in related areas: Industry, EEOC and Employment Laws.Advanced multi-tasking and attention to detail skills required.Advanced written, verbal, presentation and influencing skills.Demonstrated proficiency with operating internal and external software systems at an advanced level, including, but not limited to: creating spreadsheets, graphs, charts, and preparing presentations.Strong financial and analytical skills.Expert knowledge of financial reports and budget management.Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives within a department/plant and other cross-functional areas.Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
