Description:

Direct production and distribution. Partners with the sales and marketing operations for the facility performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors:

 

-  Coordinates production, distribution, warehousing and sales in accordance with policies, principles and procedures established by the Corporate Ownership.

-  Responsible for and assists sales in quoting and negotiating with new and existing customers.

-  Confers with sales, customers and representatives of industries and suppliers to evaluate and promote improved processes and services.

-  Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines and personnel.

-  Reviews production costs and product quality, and modified production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations.

-  Implements programs that meet corporate goals and objectives.

-  Recommends and achieves key measurement goals for the facility in efforts of continuous growth, improvement and financial success.

-  Recommends annual budget to management.

-  Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.

-  Approves all non-discretionary purchases. Recommends and submits discretionary purchases to designated official for approval.

-  Approves invoices for payment and assures timely submission to accounting office for payment and recordkeeping.

-  Submits routine reports to corporate personnel as required.

-  Responsible for the smooth and efficient introduction of new jobs and revisions to the facility.

-  Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and hours worked requirements in efforts of achieving maximum efficiency and cost effectiveness.

-  Partners with Human Resources on promoting the safety & health, development, and retention of the workforce.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in each department of the facility. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Safety Responsibilities :

To act as a responsible partner in the development and improvement of all Safety & Health programs, while taking steps to identify risks and reduce those found present in the workplace.  Responsible for working safely, modeling safe work practices and enforcing safety rules.

 

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree (B.A./ B.S.) from a 4 year college or university or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Compensation:

$70K - $90K
