Position Summary: Charged with leadership of 230+ union associates and accountability for all activities necessary to cost effectively and safely manufacture freshly baked food products (bread and buns). Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead and direct Business Lead Team to deliver plant AOP (annual operating plan) as well as development and support of plant LRP (long range plan) Ensure plant compliance to SL Global Business Practices and complete follow-up of any issues or complaints Support plant employee safety program to maintain safe working conditions and to deliver safety targets in AOP Ensure that plant is compliant with all Food Safety requirements and successfully protects our customers/consumers as well the our Sara Lee brand Build employee satisfaction through recognition/rewards, supporting our plant communication matrix, and conducting and following up on periodic EOS (employee opinion surveys) Direct timely and accurate development and delivery of plant AOP and subsequent Outlooks Serve as final plant review step and signature for all CER projects Monitor key plant metrics on periodic basis and oversee plant resources to achieve AOP target goals Serve in plant leadership role for interface with local community and maintain relations with local government, area businesses, and religious & social groups Key contact position at plant for SLBG and SLC for policies, strategic initiatives, and issue resolution Support MRP, PMP, and other developmental/succession planning initiatives for key plant positions
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Food Technology, Engineering, or related field required. 5+ years functional supervisory experience of exempt level reports preferred. Prefer 10+ years progressive manufacturing experience, preferably in bakery/food operations with a proven record of sustained, successful performance. Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of Continuous Improvement Management Process preferred. Strong customer and quality orientation. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong management, leadership, team building and employee relations skills.
