 Description

The Plant Operator at Colorcon is responsible for Starch production in the Indianapolis Plant. Plant Operators are responsible for manufacturing quality products efficiently, accurately, safely, and on time while meeting GMP compliance.

Responsibilities & Duties

Operate various equipment and instrumentation safely and with little supervision. Equipment may include, but not be limited to 3 Pellet mills, blenders, shakers, grinders, PLC?s, dryers, water systems, pumps, chemical feed systems, forklifts, handtrucks, etc.
Adhere to safety and quality protocols including, but not limited to wearing hairnets, safety glasses, covering and protecting exposed materials.
Responsible for start-up, shut down and continuous monitoring of production process. Includes conducting hourly sample testing.



 Required Skills

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED with (4) years of experience, or Associates Degree with (2) years of experience required
All experience must be in an automated industrial environment
Ability to comprehend detailed written instructions and procedures required
Must possess the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 1000 lbs
