Plant Production Manager

An Atlanta-based consumer products marketing, manufacturing and distribution leader is seeking an experienced Production Manager for our high volume, sku intensive, three shift, non-union manufacturing facility.  Major responsibilities include planning operational objectives by contributing production planning information, implementing production, productivity, quality, safety and customer service standards, creatively solve production, material, people problems, research for efficiency improvements and implementing change.  Must be adept at reviewing financial objectives, forecasting/customer requirement, scheduling expenditure, analyzing variances and taking corrective action.  Will work closely with Materials Management, Marketing, Sales and Quality control to ensure timelines and quality requirements are met.

 

Qualifications: BS Degree in IE/or Industrial Management, or equivalent analytical experience, with a minimum of 5 years consumer products experience in a highly flexible manufacturing environment.  Must be very detail oriented and have an analytical, inquisitive problem-solving mind.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must as well as a proficiency with MS Word and Excel.  Previous experience in a printing/flexo environment is a plus.
