Plastics Process Engineer

Job Description:

 

The Plastics Process engineer will be responsible forAnalysis, Characterization and Redesign of manufacturing processes and work flow to improve product quality and processing efficiency in compounded plastics/extrusion.  They will review new equipment and procedures in the pursuit of high efficiencies,, product quality and economic solutions.  Establish work procedures and training documentation to the manufacturing process ensuring the successful scale up of new products.  Investigation and resolution of problems with existing products and customer concerns.

 

Qualifications:

 

Qualified candidates to apply need to meet the following minimum requirements

 

1. Bachelors Degree, Composite, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

2. 5+ years as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer

3. Experience required in engineered thermoplastics compounding and extrusion is a must

4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment

5. Currently working on multiple projects

6. Experience working with customers and internal departments

7. Self Starter with great communication skills
