Plastics Specialist (Injection Molding) - Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas

This is a Plastics Specialists for Injection Molding.  The candidate will support injection molding equipment and auxiliary equipment.

 

Position Summary
Provide technical and functional support in all areas of Plastics including: Creating ar area strategy relative to manufacturing functions and then assisting team in translating those strategies into actions. Key focus must be placed on Floor side management of Production, Maintenance, and Material Conveyance. Supporting team to solve technical and non-technical process problems in a timely manner. Developing Master Schedules to ensure project timely, and successful completion. Developing a strong working relationship with the Production Team at all levels to ensure great communications and understanding of both floor side and plant issues.

New model development Raw material usage tracking systems Strategic Planning / Project management
Maintenance areas:
Maintenance Network / TPM ID Equipment Bottlenecks & countermeasure Yokoten activity related to major failures Process Kaizen
Process Control areas:
Dirt reduction activity Gloss and Smoothness control Film build management Direct and indirect material standards

Education and General Experience
Bachelors or Technical Degree or equivalent related experience. 3 to 5 years Automotive Manufacturing experience is required. Experience required in Plastics, Engineering, Production or Maintenance Minimum 5 years experience in injection molding processes and equipment Cross-functional understanding of Automotive Manufacturing required. Project management experience required. Japanese cultural understanding is a plus. Must have high business ethics.
Travel Expectations
As high as 30% during first two years including visits to TMMNA, TMMI, NAMCs and various external suppliers. Visits to Japan / TMC are also required.
Toyota Experience
Understanding of Toyota concepts, including the Toyota Production System and Kaizen preferred.
Software
Excellent Microsoft office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills. Working knowledge of the internet and search engines.
