Predictive Maintenance Technician

The Predictive Maintenance Technician shall coordinate, prepare, review and analyze equipment and material databases, to recommend the best maintenance practices and predictive/preventive test methods for maintaining and improving operational reliability.

 

Duties:  ∙Perform field walk downs of systems and processes to collect or validate baseline equipment specification data.  ∙Program and load equipment information and engineering specifications into database to achieve standardized records.  ∙Work with equipment manufacturers and vendors to develop unique parts lists. ∙Review maintenance data, engineering drawings, technical manuals and other documentation to give reliability findings and recommendations.  ∙Draft failure mode and effect analysis sheets on systems and equipment.  ∙Develop predictive and preventive maintenance programs and procedures to minimize potential failures, based on failure mode and effect analysis.  ∙Schedule predictive and preventive maintenance programs using parameters such as operating environment, duration of procedure, resource availability, asset availability, and overall cost.

 

Experience/qualifications:  Candidates should have 5 years experience in predictive/preventive test methods.  Candidates must be capable of assessing machine conditions and making necessary maintenance recommendations. Working knowledge of condition monitoring technologies, including:  Oil Analysis, Thermography Motor Current Analysis, and Ultrasonics and their integration with vibration analysis. Dynamic Field Balancing, and Laser Alignment a plus.  Excellent written communication and computer skills (MS Office) are essential.
