Preparation Tech - 3rd shift

Job Summary · Work with minimal supervision under the direction of the area supervisor or manager. Perform responsibilities in a responsible manner, in accordance with SOPs, cGMPs and established safety procedures. Make entries on the batch records and computer, and fill out and maintain the necessary log books. Be familiar with ?Material Safety Data Sheets? on area chemicals. Use aseptic technique where required.
? Clean and maintain preparation areas including preparation tanks, compounding tanks, barrier and isolator systems, floors, hoppers, grinnells, probes, meters, glassware, etc. Disassemble, clean, prepare, assemble, repair and process filling and filtering equipment. Clean up chemical spills per SOP. Operate pallet jacks, barrel lifters, floor machines, vacuums and other equipment as needed.
? Process components and/or equipment through various steps and assure they are available to filling in a timely manner. React independently to abnormal conditions to minimize product exposure while keeping area supervision informed. Extrapolate work requirements from the production schedule. Prepare and adjust buffer solutions and suspensions. Perform pH readings.
? Wash preparation and compounding tanks. Operate printers, autoclaves, dry heat sterilizers, barrier and isolator systems, and other equipment to accomplish duties. Operate recording devices and chart recorders. Check and change charts according to procedure.
? Weigh chemicals to required amounts. Perform weighing calculations in conjunction with batch papers. Check chemical amounts. Handle hazardous substances in a safe and responsible manner per SOPs and safety procedures.
? Wash and steam sterilize tanks and transfer lines. Ensure that tanks are connected to proper transfer line for filling. Perform filter integrity testing.
? Perform similar and/or associated duties in connection with the job assignment or as might be required.


Responsibilities

? High school graduate, or equivalent.
? Prior experience in production preferred.
? Must be able to read, write, and be capable of keeping accurate records, performing mathematical calculations and following complex instructions.
? Good attention to detail.
? The ability to handle heavy material and possess a mechanical ability is desirable.
