Press Manufacturing Supervisor

Supervise Press day-to-day operations, crews and support functions on assigned shift, ensuring proper workflow to meet production schedules. Inspects product to verify conformance to specifications and customer expectations. Promote safe working conditions through equipment maintenance and housekeeping, as well as ensuring proper safety practices are followed and enforced. Analyzes and resolves work related problems or assists employees in solving problems. Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives, Sales, Quality, other supervisors and other teams in the manufacturing process to ensure production optimization, high quality of bound products and customer satisfaction. Monitor production and provides guidance in troubleshooting any problem areas. Develop procedures and techniques to reduce process variation and manufacturing delays. Understand department budgets and the impact of operational decisions. Controls costs and expenses within budgeted tolerances. Assist team in improving processes by collecting data, using statistical process control and related software, and analysis. Provide recommendations to management on equipment modifications or changes. Coach employees to develop leadership and teamwork skills. Perform other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university plus at least two years experience or equivalent in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated leadership experience required. Experience in a Pressroom environment a plus. Requires flexible, proactive, self-starter with proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. Demonstrated effective communication, coaching and interpersonal skills required. This includes the ability to influence across many levels of the organization & successfully lead others through change. Demonstrated willingness to hold self and others accountable for individual and team business results and behaviors. This includes ensuring an inclusive work environment. Capable of working various shifts including nights.
