Process Engineer
INGENIA POLYMERS, INC. a rapidly growing international manufacturer committed to excellence, with an increasing list of Fortune 500 satisfied customers in the Petrochemicals and Plastics Industries seeks Full-Time Plant-Process Engineer in our Houston, Texas facility.
Ingenia Polymers, a custom polymer processing company is currently seeking a skilled, energetic, and devoted employee who is interested in being involved in the day to day manufacturing process and be a part of the strategic management team leading the facility. Additional duties include:
1. Facilitating all aspects of process development for new and existing products; from feasibility testing to process automation.
2. Discovering, investigating and integrating new technologies in the processing area.
3. Designs process protocols, provides analysis of data and generates required compliance documentation.
4. Leads the effort in cost reduction and quality improvement through engineering controls.
5. Key member of the facility management team in providing support/direction of the manufacturing process, equipment strategy and production process.
6. Develops training plans and performs additional duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree in chemical, mechanical or manufacturing engineering
2. Experience in plastics manufacturing, especially extrusion, equipment design and process development is a plus
3. Strong process development background with regard to equipment troubleshooting applicable to SPC analysis and process optimization.
4. Must be proficient in computers, especially AutoCAD drawing, programming PLC controls and other programs such as Excel VBA and macro programming
5. Strong customer/vendor interaction
6. Strong interpersonal communication skills
7. Ability to work in a multitasking, multi-role and fast paced production environment.
