Process Maintenance tech (PLC)

RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain automated production line equipment to maximize performance and utilization
Interface with internal customers in a problem-solving role
Develop and maintain automated actuators, PLC's and numerically controlled programs
Research and implement Predictive and Preventive Maintenance Procedures on a system level
Develop and present training for Technicians, Engineering and Operations in medium level troubleshooting and advanced operations of production equipment
Confer with and assists engineers on problems that are moderately complex
Perform cost justification for machine improvements or repair purchases, receive and stock accurate parts inventory
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
Technical AS degree with five years applicable experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be available for rotating shifts.
Possess ability to read & understand electrical/electronic schematics, theory of mechanical dimensions/tolerances, design, materials, and packaging fundamentals.
Ability to safely use common mechanical and electrical power tools.
Working knowledge of basic mechanics, electricity/electronics or pneumatics.
Ability to use basic test equipment and gauges to resolve electro-mechanical equipment problems.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS DESIRED
Ability to troubleshoot Allen-Bradley, Omron, & Keyence PLC hardware
Ability to define and produce performance reports & enter downtime tracking
Experience with Electrovert Wave Solder Machines, PVA Conformal Coat Machines & ATI & Panasonic Conveyoring equipment
Ability to utilize critical thinking skills as applied to root-cause troubleshooting and analysis
Proven skills in the use of Machine Shop tools (e.g. mill, lathe, surface grinder, etc.
