At our "state of the art" 600,000 square foot manufacturing complex in Cary, Illinois, we produce E-Z Kare interior and exterior paints, Woodsman stains, WeatherAll exterior paints, XO rust inhibiting sprays and enamels, and a full line of DIY and professional quality brushes and rollers. Our Process Optimization Manager will provide leadership in the establishment and implementation of continuous process improvement and optimization opportunities. Your focus will be on enhancing manufacturing, warehousing and delivery processes, reducing the expense of manufacturing goods and services, supporting product quality objectives, and supporting sales and marketing objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership

?  You will provide input and recommendations to the Manufacturing Leadership Team relative to developing and implementing continuous process optimization throughout all activities within the Manufacturing, warehousing and delivery functions.

Process Improvement and Capital

?  Develop recommendations and associated cost/benefit analyses related to the development and implementation of process flows, facility layouts, and equipment requirements.

?  Develop appropriate short and long-term capital improvement plans necessary to implement proposed enhancements in the manufacturing facilities.

?  Coordinate all capital budgeting and provide a leadership role and/or specific input to all major capital implementation.

?  Assess and recommend process improvements in materials management and production scheduling, manufacturing, equipment performance, materials handling, service standards, and distribution optimization opportunities.

Business Analysis

?  Direct and be accountable for the development, implementation and ongoing production of metrics related to the Manufacturing functions. Identify trends, both positive and negative, and provide recommended courses of action to optimize the performance.

?  Develop structure and template for analysis of financial performance related to quotes and bids for third party business, and support the sales and marketing efforts of GPM.

Quality Assurance

?  Coach and counsel team members in Total Quality principals and processes to ensure critical and objective thinking and optimal performance.


QUALIFICATIONS:

?  BS/BA in business administration, industrial engineering, or closely related field of study. Possession of a master?s degree is helpful.

?  A minimum of five (5) years of experience in industrial engineering, continuous process improvement, and/or lean manufacturing within manufacturing environment. Prefer to have been in a leadership capacity and accountable for specific process/performance management.

?  Business knowledge of cost/benefit analysis, project management, negotiation, strategic and tactical planning.

?  Strong interpersonal skills to include customer focus, initiative, and versatility.

?  Experience using continuous process improvement and optimization tools.  Six Sigma training or certification is a plus.

?  Experience with engineered standards, performance measurement and reporting systems.
