Product Engineer - Hand Tools Division

Job Description: The successful candidate will: * Investigate current processes and designs to identify potential cost savings and/or quality improvements
* Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and related specifications
* Oversee product testing and review test requirements with Test Engineer(s).
* Work with Manufacturing and Purchasing to qualify and select new vendors
* Interface with suppliers to ensure product quality adherence
* Travel and work with suppliers both domestically and internationally

Additionally, this position will be responsible for

* Identifying, researching and implementing cost saving initiatives on current and new product lines
* Creating product specifications, test plans, quality plans and engineering drawings
* Assisting in the implementation and documentation of a PDM system
* Managing project timelines and work with resources to ensure timely completion

Job Requirements:

* BS in Mechanical Engineering
* 1-3 years related work experience
* Proficiency in Pro/E Wilfire highly desired
* Design for Manufacturing and Assembly
* Ability to work in a team environment and strong communication skills are required
* Ability to handle the development of multiple projects simultaneously
