Product Line Manager

LuminentOIC is a market-leading supplier of transceivers for Metro, Access, and Fiber-to-the-Home applications. The company is enjoying tremendous success and growth on all product lines, with dominant market share on the FTTH market, and a significant and growing market share on metro transceivers, in particular CWDM/DWDM products. The Product Management team is highly technical and central to all business decisions setting direction and impacting the success of the company. To support our growth and further strengthen the management team, we are seeking an experienced Product Line Manager for our Metro Transceiver product line.


The product management team works closely with Engineering on key technical design trade-offs that define the products, as well as setting priorities and direction for development projects. The company has transceiver design teams and manufacturing in multiple facilities. Product Management responsibility covers activities across all facilities; the product manager plays a key role in coordination of efforts between the teams. In addition, the Product Managers are engaged with Sales on strategy, customer engagements and sampling, and Operations on production priorities.

The Product Line Manager will have direct product management responsibility for our CWDM/DWDM transceiver products, as well as overseeing two product managers covering Metro and legacy transceiver product lines. The CWDM/DWDM product line is the technically most challenging and advanced, and a strong technical background from the telecom industry is required as a necessary prerequisite to effectively manage the next-generation DWDM products and drive our entrance in the 10G market.?
