Product Support Engineer - MTU Detroit Diesel

Essential:

1. Support the implementation of engineering changes and new model releases into production by a direct support of the assembly line
2. Review engineering changes and introduce them to production by presenting them in the change point meeting
3. Direct support of the S2000/4000 product engineers
4. Communication of assembly problems with quality and engineering (product engineers in FN and DT)
5. Support/coordinate the build of mock up engines BOM engines)

Supplemental:

1. Provides management with regular reports on project work plans and status for information and resource management purposes
2. Maintains a neat workplace and organized information files pertaining to project work assignments
3. Maintains a daily record of work hours by job number for budgeting & auditing purposes per publisher instruct
4. Performs special projects

Required:

1. BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
2. Several years experience related to the design, manufacture, assembly or test of internal combustion engines
3. Effective oral and written communication skills.
4. Basic understanding of drafting nomenclature and conventions/experience in reading technical drawings
5. Familiarity with the use of personal or mainframe computers
6. Good interpersonal skills

Preferred:

Hands on experience with MTU diesel engines,preferred S2000 and S4000
